Displays & Shirts

It's April. Break-up is a upon us is Alaska. Tis the season that packed snow on the roads around camp has become a slushy mess that makes you want to pull or unintentionally makes you pull a Scandinavian Flick every time you go into a corner (most of the time it is me wanting to). Snow is melting fast, and not much wood is needed to keep the house warm. The sun is up longer, and it is jacket weather (45f).

Over the last month I've finally started to see projects starting to materialize. The biggest project has to be the displays we had printed. These have been on our wish list for awhile, and to finally put them out to use for advertising has been a blessing. As soon as we got them, they were off to use at a church for a fundraising event.

Some much needed brochures have also come back from the printer, and another few will be sent out once some finalizations are done on them.

Last month Victory did an online fundraiser to help raise funds to enhance our summer program. This one-time offer didn't sell as many as we wanted, but God used the booster site to bring in some donations that went well beyond what we were looking to raise through the shirts. Though this shirt fundraiser is over, be on the look out for more in the future. The design came from a sticker I created a few years ago. It was put in the archives and never used. But when camp needed a design ASAP, the design got a rework, and put onto a shirt. For those that ordered, THANK YOU! You should have them by now, I got mine (haven't worn it yet).

Well, Easter is this weekend. Victory has "blackout week", which means no groups on the grounds for this week and the weekend. But it's busy for me as I'm practicing drums for the four services on Easter. I'm not sure all that the pastors have planned, but Easter is a celebration at COTR. And from what I hear, this year is no exception. If you don't have something planned, or have some time Sunday, why not tune in and watch online (HERE).

Thank you all for your prayers. They are very much appreciated during this time. Continue to pray as God leads me in the work He is having me do. Also be praying for summer camp. It is right around the corner!
